Strip steel or cold-rolled strip steel is a steel product produced from hot-rolled strip steel that has been pickled. Then, the coil is rolled directly or in reverse by a single stand cold rolling mill, or in a series rolling mill composed of several series connected single stands. By directly cold rolling or including annealing at some intermediate thicknesses, the strip is reduced to an approximate final thickness for further cold thinning or obtaining the required mechanical properties of the finished product. High carbon steel requires additional annealing and cold reduction operations. Then, the coil is cut to the desired width through the roll cutting process.
